My name is Neal Andersen. I would like to introduce to you a beautiful series of high relief decorative ceramic tiles and tile murals that we hand press in Round Rock, Texas. These custom ceramic tiles are unique and of great quality. We specialize in large ceramic decorative tiles, but we also make several decorative ceramic tile liners and flat tiles. These decorative murals have a high relief French architectural style, and have been designed for use as accents for your ceramic kitchen backsplash, bath or living areas. You can use just one tile or a set of ceramic tiles customized to fill a specific area. The large decorative tiles and ceramic tile murals can be used as is, or surrounded with a liner to create a framed insert for your tiled or stone covered backsplash or wall. Most of my customers install them behind the range, in the shower enclosure, above the bathtub or around the fireplace. They will provide you with a unique, eye-catching addition to your home decor.

We have been working with some well-respected designers in the field and have developed a range of colors that will complement your current color scheme, including many stone wall coverings. 

To assist you during your ceramic tile design phase, we have line drawings for all of the ceramic tiles These drawings can be used to generate sample layouts using one or many ceramic tiles. With this method, you can get a better idea of how the mural will look in your available area.

All of our products are fired ceramic tiles, no resin or composite materials are used at any time.

A majority of our customers use their own field tile with my high relief decorative tiles as an accent to their kitchen backsplash, but this client chose to use our field tile as well as our 6x6 Twisted Leaf accent tiles to complete the look of her customized kitchen. The center mural is our Floral Tile which is surrounded by 3x3 flat tiles and then our 2 inch wide Henry's Liner. All of the tile is glazed in Old Terra Red.

It may be a little intimidating to stare at a blank wall and envision a finished decorative backsplash, but I have completed many projects which started with the exchange of ideas and developed into a one of a kind decorative ceramic tile mural. Once I understand the size of the area you are working with, and the color palate of your kitchen, I can send color chips or pieces of the decorative tiles to you. When you see the colors in your kitchen or bath, you find it easier to make the final decisions.

The flat field tiles surrounding the four piece Double Scroll and Henry's Liners (above) were purchased by my client, who wanted a decorative high relief mural for their tile backsplash.

The addition of Thin Liners, flat tiles and Acanthus Liners around this 3 piece Lion Set (above) creates a frame, which increases the overall area covered. With this method, we can create a set of decorative ceramic tiles that will fit your space so well that your friends will think you hired an professional designer.

Pictured above is an installation using the Lion Set flanked by two Bouquet tiles. The installation utilized my 6 x 6 flat tiles throughout the kitchen. The area behind the backsplash is 60 x 40 inches.

I have spent countless hours over manny years developing new patterns to offer to my customers. Irregardless of all of that work, most people still like the Floral Tile (above). Surround it with Single Scrolls or Acanthus Liners and you will have a wonderfull addition to your backsplash.

I think that you will find that my tiles are reasonably priced. For example, the Paris Mural above (18 x 8.5 inches) is available as a one piece tile for $202 or $162 for the same design as a three piece tile. The Medium Medallions (4 x 4 inches) are priced at about $19 and can be used as decorative tile accents around the kitchen. For the prices of other tiles see the ORDERING page.

I have a range of glaze colors which were selected to match or complement the colors of popular stone and tile wall coverings. If we can not find an exact match, integrating smaller high relief accent pieces, like the Medium Medallions, as part of your backsplash, we can create a cohesive overall look.

This Urn Panel with Acanthus Liner (above) frame is glazed in Clear Brown. The reddish tone of this glaze is just the right color to bring out the pink accents in the granite counter top.

I'll be the first to admit that I am not a formally trained designer, architect or artist of any kind. I just know what I like, and am willing to keep trying until I think I've got it right. Here is a picture from a customer who was armed with little more than a good sense of taste, but with the help of some skilled craftsman like myself, was able to assemble a beautiful kitchen, which she can be proud of for many years to come.

I hope that through my work, I am respectfully honoring the craftsman that carved and assembled the antique furniture that has inspired me. Surely these unknown Frenchmen, born in the middle of the 19^th century, would be pleased that their work has not been forgotten, and that people are still amazed at the detail and beauty which was created by their hands.
